Indianapolis Motor Speedway – Indianapolis, Indiana
Winner: Scott Dixon. After Josef Newgarden took the pole and led the first 31 laps, Dixon led nearly the rest of the way. Despite a late re-start, Dixon led Simon Pagenaud by nearly 4.5 seconds over the final three laps and tied A.J. Foyt’s record of having a win in 18 seasons.

Noteworthy: After Felix Rosenqvist crashed with nine laps to go, causing a yellow flag, IndyCar chose to let the race re-start with cars sitting between Dixon and Pagenaud, in order to avoid another lap under caution. The decision could have negatively effected Pagenaud but he said afterwards it didn’t make a difference in the result.
Winner: Felix Rosenqvist. Rosenqvist passed rookie Pato O’Ward after the final pit stop. O’Ward led by as much as nine seconds and for 43 of 55 laps. But he got caught in traffic, passed by Rosenqvist and finished second by 2.8 seconds.
Noteworthy: Alexander Rossi was the only driver in the top seven not in his first or second full IndyCar season. O’Ward became the second straight rookie to finish on the podium after Alex Palou’s third-place mark at Road America’s first race…
