Unai Emery insists Aston Villa are “not thinking” about signing too many players this summer as they qualify for the Champions League. Speaking ahead of Villa's final game of the season at Crystal Palace, Emery insists the club must remember the Profit and Resilience Rules (PSR). As Atlético previously reported, despite their Champions League riches, Villa have little PSR and need to balance the budget this summer. “Playing in the Champions League for our players and for the players we want to add, maybe that will help us,” Emery said. “We have to be smart. We have to establish rules of fair play and build a new team around that, but we more or less did not think about incorporating or signing many players.
